Step 1: Connect your device to ARRIS Network:

If you wish to make any changes or set up any router then you must stay connected to its network. You can easily access the ARRIS Router setup pages via an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi connection.

ARRIS Router allows you to connect to a wired or wireless network using your computer or smartphone. We recommend you connect your device with the router using an Ethernet cable if you have forgotten the password of the ARRIS Router. It doesn’t require any password when you try to connect with the router using an Ethernet cable.

However, if you want to connect using a Wi-Fi connection, you need to locate the network name i.e. SSID and Wi-Fi key and then try to connect your device to that network. Both of these details that are SSID and passwords are usually printed on a sticker located on the front or side of the router.

Step 2: Go to your Router IP:

Open Chrome browser or any web browser on your device and enter the IP address of ARRIS Router in the address bar. The IP address is usually the same for all ARRIS Routers. However, it is likely to vary for a few models of ARRIS Router. You need to just type or or simply copy and paste any of these links on the address bar of your browser.

Step 3: Enter default username and password:

Once enter the link, it will take you to the login page of ARRIS Router. Now you need to enter the default login information in order to log in to it. Just enter ‘administrator’ as username and enter ‘password’ in the field of password. If you can’t log in to the website using these credentials then check the list of Arris default usernames and passwords for various router models to find out your default credentials.

Enter IP

Once you enter all the details correctly, click on Enter or Sign in button. It will complete the login process of the ARRIS Router and leads you to the control panel of the router and you can enjoy the features of custom router configurations.

How to reset ARRIS Router:

An ARRIS Router reset has its advantages, but there is one important aspect that you cannot ignore. All the changes you have made will be deleted when you reset your device settings. To reset your device settings, Arris provides you two different methods to make it easy for you. Both methods are given below.

Using reset button:

  • You can easily reset your ARRIS Router by simply pressing the reset button at the bottom of the device.
  • First, you need to locate the reset button on the ARRIS Router device. Once you found that button, press it and hold it for few seconds.
  • You may need a pin or pen to press the button because it is difficult to reach the button with your finger.
  • To avoid pressing the reset button by mistake, it is followed by most router manufacturers.
  • Wait for some time to complete the reset process. Once it was reset successfully, you can use the device as usual.

Using Web interface:

If the above method is not working for you or if it does not happen as you expected, then use this method to reset your ARRIS Router. In this method, we are going to use the ARRIS Router web interface to reset the router. This is a bit more complicated process than pressing the reset button but a sure way to trigger the reset.

  • Login to the ARRIS Router web interface by following the above-mentioned steps.
  • Once you logged into the ARRIS Router, locate the interface labeled utility option.
  • And then click on ‘Factory Reset Option’. On that page, you need to reset your ARRIS Router device to default settings.
  • You need to wait until the reset process of the ARRIS Router gets completed. That’s all.

Final Words:

So, these are the steps to log in and reset the ARRIS Router. After you log in to ARRIS Router, you can easily configure your device and make any changes you want from the available settings. But you need to be careful not to break the connection when there is a mess in your ARRIS Router’s factory settings. It is better to write down the default configuration before making any changes.
